Yvonne Bauer, CEO and Owner
Yvonne Bauer studied German Literature and started her career as a trainee at the Hoffmann and Campe publishing house. After holding various positions at Bauer Media Group, she followed in the footsteps of her father Heinz, assuming control of the company in 2010. As owner of Bauer Media Group she steers the domestic and international operations in fifth family generation.

Dr. Gerald Mai, Chief Legal Officer & Operations
Dr. Gerald Mai joined Bauer Media in 2006. As General Counsel, he successfully built up the legal department of the Business Unit Germany from scratch. Over the years, he has successfully represented the company in fundamental court decisions and helped shape the necessary changes in press wholesale. Since 2019, he has been a member of the Global Management Team as Group General Counsel. He established a global IP/trademark system and was responsible for numerous international M&A transactions. Since 2021, he has been a member of the Executive Board as Chief Legal Officer. He is responsible for Legal and Compliance to safeguard the transformation of the business together with his team of experts.

Jan Wachel, President Publishing
Jan Wachtel joined Bauer Media Group in January 2023 as President of Publishing. A graduate in Economics and a Master of International Business, Jan has varied and extensive experience in media and publishing having held multiple senior leadership positions with organisations including BILD, Funke Mediengruppe, RTL Group and ADCELL. Jan is a passionate surfer and enjoys spending time with his family.

Vivian Mohr, President Audio
Vivian Mohr was appointed as President of Audio in September 2023. He first joined Bauer Media in February 2022 as CFO and COO of the OCP business. Vivian brings with him over 10 years’ of hands-on experience leading organisations through complex situations and driving transformational change. He has a proven track record of significantly improving operational and financial performance across a range of turnarounds, mergers, spin-offs and strategic growth exercises, including the integration of two of Switzerland’s largest radio chains and the landmark acquisition of the country’s largest private TV broadcaster.
